On 9 August, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (in the centre), and the Minister of Economic Integration, Erlangga Hartarto, attended the closing ceremony of the 2nd LIKE Festival.

The 2nd LIKE Festival is an event initiated by the Ministry of Forestry and Environment of Indonesia around the four main themes of Environment (Lingkungan), Climate (Iklim), Forestry (Kehutanan), and Energy (Energi), which aims to showcase the results of work, policy improvements, and their implementation in the field of environment and forestry across Indonesia. The event was held from 8 to 11 August at the Jakarta International Convention Centre.

Huayou Indonesia has been actively responding to the directives of the Ministry of Forestry and Environment and implementing local policies, and on August 8, Stevanus, Director of Public Affairs of Huayou Indonesia, participated in the panel discussion on “Supporting the Development of Standardisation in the New Energy Vehicle Battery Industry Chain” on behalf of Huayou Indonesia, and elaborated on Huayou Indonesia's low-carbon standardisation in its various projects.

During the meeting, Ary Sudjianto, Head of Instrumentation Standardisation Office of the Ministry of Forestry and Environment (BSILHK), said that the government is now shifting from fossil energy to new energy sources such as electricity, and that more support should be given to upstream companies such as Huayou Indonesia.

Rosliana, a representative of the General Administration of Hazardous Waste Management, praised Huayou Indonesia. She said that apart from being able to provide guidance on how to better utilise metallurgical technology to treat nickel ores for better quality nickel processed products, Huayou Indonesia has continued to contribute in other areas such as environmental protection, climate improvement, and socio-economic development.
