Chairman Chen Xuehua emphasized, "Integrity and honesty are intrinsic to the essence of Huayou's people and form the bedrock of Huayou's accomplishments. We maintain a zero-tolerance stance towards any bribery behavior, and we respond promptly with strict actions whenever any such behavior is detected." To firmly cultivate the values of "integrity and honesty, the authentic essence of Huayou," the Audit and Supervision Center organized two integrity and integrity construction promotion activities in February 2023: a specialized session for the Nonferrous Engineering Center and the "Star Huayou Shines, Extraordinary with You - Star Huayou Class" training for college students in Quzhou.
Establishing a strong basis for integrity construction
On February 22nd, the Audit and Supervision Center held a integrity training session themed "Huayou Essence: Integrity and Honesty." All 58 cadres and employees from the Nonferrous Engineering Center and the 100,000-ton Project Team of the New Materials Industry Group participated in this training.
Given the intricate nature of project construction involving significant financial outlay, lengthy management chains, and deep market connections, it's a realm susceptible to integrity challenges. Failure to uphold ethical standards against bribery and malfeasance can lead to immeasurable damage to project quality and safety. Through the propagation of a culture of integrity and fostering a robust foundation of integrity in thought, the harmonious integration of integrity construction and project advancement can be achieved, ensuring efficient and compliant progress in key projects.
Focused and specialized training
On February 28th, the specialized integrity training for the "Star Huayou Shines, Extraordinary with You - Star Huayou Class" college students took place successfully at the Quzhou Huayou Science and Innovation Building's training room. Seventy-four students participated in this instructive session.
Facilitated by lecturers from the Audit and Supervision Center, Liu Shuai and Lu Junzhong, the training encompassed topics such as "Huayou Essence: Integrity and Honesty" and "Rejecting Gambling, Pornography, and Drugs." Utilizing real-life cases, representative examples, and educational videos, students gained insight into integrity risks and the detrimental effects of gambling, pornography, and drug abuse. Employees were reminded to uphold a steadfast bottom-line consciousness, maintain a clear mindset, and exercise constant vigilance.
Prioritizing early prevention and addressing minor concerns to forestall major issues, Huayou erects a robust ideological defense against bribery and impropriety. The execution of integrity construction education and training initiatives reflects Huayou's culture of integrity, fortifying a sturdy moral bulwark in thought. The Audit and Supervision Center's monthly integrity construction theme education and training employ real-world incidents to educate individuals within the organization. The Center will continue to innovate the format and content of integrity construction education, effectively supplementing preventive and investigative measures to safeguard the "integrity construction" principles in Huayou's business development.
