Today (January 30), in the morning, the inaugural basketball friendship match of 2024 for the New Material Industry Group and New Energy Industry Group officially commenced. This event started with Group Chairman Chen Xuehua tossing a basketball high into the air, followed by the sound of a crisp whistle. On the court, athletes competed with vigor, sweating and relishing the health and joy brought by sports. This event also marked the official inauguration of the Huayou Quzhou Industrial Park Sci-Tech Phase II Gymnasium.
During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Chairman Chen, deeply moved, recalling that when Huayou first set foot in Quzhou a decade ago, he had a dream: to build a sports stadium next to Youshan Lake and Youshan Mountain, where Huayou employees could strengthen their bodies and combine work with leisure. Today, this dream has been realized with the completion and use of the gymnasium spanning over 24,000 square meters. Chairman Chen set forth three expectations: First, to fully utilize the gymnasium by hosting a variety of cultural and sports activities that are popular among staff and play an essential role in building corporate culture; Second, to establish comprehensive management systems, enhance safety management, and expand service methods, making the gymnasium a central "refueling station" for gathering and energizing Huayou's workforce, a "check-in spot" for employee fitness, and a "headquarters" for corporate cultural and sports activities. Third, to foster the spirit of "unyielding self-improvement and pursuit of excellence" among Huayou employees through these cultural and sports activities, forming "top-notch" competition teams, enabling Huayou's athletes to shine and bring more honors and recognition to the company.
The Sci-Tech Phase II Gymnasium project began construction on October 15, 2022, completed its main structure on June 30, 2023, finished its fine decoration on December 30, and was officially put into use on January 30, 2024. The gymnasium, with a total construction area of 24,000 square meters, is equipped with facilities meeting international standards for table tennis, billiards, basketball, and badminton; as well as a 25-meter constant temperature swimming pool and a leisure lobby bar matching star-rated hotel standards. The gymnasium is fully capable of "all-weather, all-category" sports and fitness activities and independently hosting large-scale sports events. It is a leading facility in Quzhou. With its opening, it will offer a high-quality platform for nearly 9,000 employees at the Quzhou base for sports, leisure, and communication, thereby enhancing the comprehensive service capability of the park and the well-being of employees.
In recent years, the Huayou Quzhou Industrial Park has been continually strengthening its Party, work, and youth organizations, organizing various cultural and sports activities, caring for the physical and mental health of employees, enhancing the company's cohesion and centripetal force, and transforming the company into a platform for employee growth, achieving mutual development of the enterprise and its staff. The completion and opening of the gymnasium are another vivid embodiment of Huayou's commitment to employee welfare, health, and relations. Moving forward, the park will adhere to organizing cultural and sports activities that are well-received by employees, making the gymnasium a "charging station" for the spiritual and cultural life of Huayou people, thereby contributing new strength to the high-quality development of the company!
